A crafty old day
Baby it's cold outside. I love this weather, crisp, cold days with bright blue skies and sunshine. Perfect weather for staying at home next to the aga and sewing. I have had a couple of projects in mind for ages. I didn't like my bathroom curtains. They are quite nice and beautifully made from Jane Churchill floral fabric but they just didn't look right in the bathroom. I bought some gorgeous blue polka dot fabric way back in summer and decided that this would make the perfect pair of curtains. I love them. They look fresh and cheerful. A bit of springtime in my bathroom!
I also had a soft blanket that I bought from a charity shop for 99p in a lovely deep raspberry colour the same colour as our sitting room sofas. I added some Cath Kidston Rose Paisley fabric to make a gorgeous throw and snuggly blanket for those cold winter evenings.

You've got me feeling all spring-like. What lovely fabrics!
Gorgeous fabrics and looks like you've got one of those lovely baths on feet?
Hope you don't mind me 'tagging' you, Donna? Sorry! If you look at my blog you'll see what I mean.
Ok that's fine Donna. It has to stop sometime!
Yes I was very jealous when I saw your post about your Kokeshi dolls! You were really kind to leave some left in the charity shop. I wish I'd been in the same shop! ;-)
Hi DOnna! I just love the stuff you do.
How long did it take you to make the curtains?
Did you put something between the blanket and the fabric to make your throw - it looks really thick and snuggly.
What a busy girl!
Your new cutains are fab, so fresh.
In contrast the blanket looks so snuggly. Can you make me one, I have the same colour sofa??!! hehe!

The curtains look lovely. I saw some bathroom bits in colours to match in sainsbury's, handwash bottle, toilet brush, soapdish and the ilk. I love polka dots, their so innocent.
Cold? It was -15 here this morning. Farenheit! For crying out loud...
Lovely fresh and springlike curtains! I loved the fabric box on the previous post too! Clare x
LOVE your throw. There's nothing quite like curly up under a blanket in front of the fire with a good book throught the winter months preferably with a big pot of tea and a quarter of lemon bon bons!!
Nice! I hate making curtains, lol.
